ASCC will start new academic year with school-aged Chinese program on 2, 1 February 2020, and the adult Chinese programs on 3, 4, 5, 6 February 2020.
As a tradition since the establishment of the school in 2004, ASCC organise the annual teachers meeting and professional training on 27 January 2020 before schools start and all the students coming back to study.
We have made proud of achievements in 2019. As an accredited and registered Specialist Education Provider in ACT by the Board of Senior Secondary Studies since 2008, our accreditation has successfully been renewed into the third term until 2023.
2020 is an important year for implementation of the Australian Curriculum enhancing the teaching quality and variety. We strengthen our reform of school curriculum based upon the Australian Curriculum Chinese, ACT Curriculum Framework and HSK Chinese Proficiency Tests Outlines. ASCC will continue to implement the Chinese program to make teaching more relevant to our students and to improve student engagement and outcomes.
Priorities of the work in 2020:
Firstly, for school, improve teaching quality, strengthen teaching quality for students interest and benefit.
Secondly, for teachers, strengthen teachers capacity and enhance teachers quality, continue to advocate our professional development for our teaching staffs.
Thirdly, for courses, we will have Chinese as the main subject, and introduce arts and cultural and coaching subjects.
Fourthly, for management, we seek to have a high level day-to-day management to a new level.
As Specialist Education Provider by Board of Senior Secondary Studies (BSSS) , we will continue to offer quality course to benefit our students and rewards the community.
