BSSS Courses & Post-grade 9 Chinese Courses

Students in Year 11 and Year 12 who choose to enroll with ASCC as T and other BSSS courses students are able to use their results towards their ATAR score. They will also have their results listed on their Year 12 certificates. Students who choose to study Chinese in their home college may undertake this program as a supplement to their Chinese study and improve their Chinese learning outcomes. There are three levels of Chinese BSSS courses Beginning, Continuing, and Advanced for Years 11 and 12 students, depending upon students’ prior learning of Chinese.

Post-grade 9 Chinese: ASCC Students who completed Grade 9 may progress to this class. Studying in the class offers an opportunity for the students to review and consolidate their previous learning in Chinese. In line with the topic of learning, students may review what they learned, and study new vocabulary, sentence patterns, and usage, as well as translation and literature appreciation, focusing on improving listening, speaking, reading, writing, and related language communication and application skills.
